My undying fascination for beaches is deeply rooted. I grew up in a village just few meters away from the beach. I could still remember the mornings when my father would take me and my siblings to the beach. Before going for work, he would find time to take us to the beach. It was too far. The travel time seemed endless. The normal travel time from Davao City would be from 14 to 16 hours. Fortunately, the man steering the wheel had a devil-may-care attitude, it took us merely 10 and a half hours.

After playing all the songs in our car cd, we reached the City of Dapitan. When we arrived, we have to trek through a rough mountainous road. After entering the main gate, we were escorted to the receiving booth. We wasted not much time and hurried to, where else, the b...
